I scored a set of 255/50/16 tires off a Corvette with 75% tread left for $150, so now need to decide if I should put them on the chrome 5 spokes on the car now, or put them on the stock rims that came with the car. Your thoughts?

Always like the stock wheels.

At the risk of offending some, I've never been a fan of directional wheels. The only exception would be when the left- and right-sides are both directional the same way -- either forward or backward. I don't like it when all four wheels are the same, meaning that one side "rotates" forward and one side backward. Of course, that means that if the front and rear wheels are different sizes, you end up with four wheels -- every one different than the others!

If you are going forward look at the right side and in reverse the left and then no directional issues!

I'm with Ron, directional wheels have never done anything for me. I would vote for the 5 spokes.
