Found this '71 on line that is VERY similar to mine other than it has black stripes (wrong width's....), AC, and a bench seat. Now I have some idea of what mine's worth, at least in Florida. Same rims other than they went with 9 inch wide all the way around.
This confirms my decision to go with the white SS stripes. I think mine looks better.
yeah, looks too dark in that picture. It's amazing how something like stripe color can change how the main color looks. I noticed it when I took the white pinstripes off mine (before the top change even).

One of last trips to Florida I stopped in at a couple of the classic car dealers on the west coast. For the most part I was totally disappointed. What you see in the photos rarely is a true representation of what the car actually is. Most are nice 10' photos. First you figure it is over priced by at least a third for dealer mark up and will probably take that much again to get it to the point it should have been to up for sale in the first place. With that being said you know the quality of what you have and you must base your value on what you know you have. We all probably think are cars are worth more than others do but our values are generally higher as they are complete, quality built cars.

Right on, Jon. My thoughts when I looked at the pics was it's at least 10k overpriced.
Stan's car would most likely put that one to shame in a side-by-side comparison.
And yeah, the white stripes look way better on Mulsanne blue than black...

I saw a blue with red stripes that just stood out and looked good with that contrast.
