Since Stan started his thread and I have one going together I thought I would set mine out there and see what you can come up with. I don't have any plans to dino this motor, but have a good idea of where we will end up. I have had the block for several years and finally decided to put it together.
Plan on driving on road trips with 2004r (put together by John at Master Trans) and 3.73 12 bolt. Sure it will be street-able enough but thinking mileage won't be so good.
Should be a small jump from the 283/PG combo.

Wow that is going to be a stout combination. It should easily put you in the 500 horse range. But that 109 LSA could make efi tuning a little difficult as it is not going to make a whole lot of vacuum at idle.

Are they the "newer" AFR 195's.. If so they actually flow better than the Old style 210's. That engine will be over 500 horse on a bad day ;-) Is this a hydraulic roller cam or solid?
I would suggest that you dyno the engine. But if you dont I would chassis dyno "tune" it for sure.

AFR were built in January, so new series. Hydraulic roller cam, Mike Lewis/Chris Spear custom ground, he says the Aluminum heads will handle the 109 knocking issues and get plenty of timeing. Will get it on a chassis dyno sometime soon after it is on the road.. With the Terminator, there is really only timeing to be gained from dynoing and we should be able to get that right with the ecm from Holley. Might have to ad a vaccum pump, we will see if I have any brakes.

Dan, you are building the 383 I want some day!
I'm sure I'll be happy with my 'little 350' setup, and may add EFI next year, but ultimately want to get where you are going by using some of the parts we are using now.
Should be a fun combo and you'll be leading the pack on cruises without breathing hard.

Ya that's 550 hp 570 ft lbs. painfully close to my 383..

Saw your other post Dan, mid summer before you are out of the CAC?
What's the latest? I'm guessing paint jail?

That'll be hot... but be prepared that it won't "wake up" until about 3-grand... then it'll be the whole can of whoopazz.
The 383 I built "way back when people thought it was a Chrysler motor" was pretty similar... using a "mini" dual-diaphragm 8" booster I still had decent brakes with only 12" of vacuum at idle.
Mileage... I was getting 11 to 13 mpg running a Holley 3310... carb was jetted/tuned and running lots of advance (motor liked it - but hard to start). EFI would probably bump that into the high teens easily.

I move pretty slow. Seem to get a bunch done one week and then things slow down to a snails pace. Probably more my fault then the body guy (he did have it over the winter and shut his shop down when propane got to $5). Maybe have too much room as I can have three-four projects at once without ever finishing anything. Got the frame and rear half of the car back last week. Firewall, interior paint, door jams etc are done. Need to finish engine, install it, tranny, rear, radiator, dash in, A/C set up etc then get it back to body shop for paint. Kind of never ending project. Did get the 12 bolt out of the 71 and John Enga's 10 bolt in that one so I am close to haveing something to drive. Need to find a drive shaft for that one and it will be on the road. Had Derek and some of my other friends here last weekend and they knocked a few things off the list.
Looking forward to haveing a crazy fun car. John at Master Trans put a 2800 stall in so I guess he agrees with John D on the power band. Hopefully John is also right on the mileage, the checkbook is a little on the beat up side of things right now.

Won't seem to post a picture but 65 is finally in paint. Hopefully can get it out of the CAC when the weather permits this spring!

That paint looks great Dan, anxious to see it with some chrome on it. Probably not as anxious as you are thought!!

Thanks Stan, I don't know what was going on last night with my computer. It was late and I was putting the picture up the way I always do but it would only post the words. Probably me, I was really tired. I will try some more when I get it to my shop. Painter's shop is on a mud road, I will have to wait till it freezes later this week. Just hoping to hear it run sometime after the first of the year!
