I have been trying to get to Colorado for 3 months to pick up another Corvair I agreed to buy. I went last Thursday-Friday.
The body needs a lot more ironing than I was aware of to get straight for paint and it has a few rust issues but over-all is a very solid car. It appears to have been in a hail storm at some time in the past. It has a LOT of small dents all over that could be from hail.
The last year it was licensed for street use was 1986. The owner kept the plate for nostalgia...
The engine had dropped a valve and was removed and disassembled. Then it sat in his pole shed all these years. Last summer a friend installed a different one that had run many years ago. I haven't gotten it to run yet.
Loaded up in Watkins CO
When I got home after driving thru freezing rain, 30mph crosswinds and snow.
Back seat was a mouse condo
Really dirty from sitting
After a bath and some interior cleaning
Trying to clean the seats
Looks much better but the seats still have some streaks on them. Guess I need a stronger cleaner.
My favorite part of this Corvair. It is a Corsa model and has a factory tach and gauges.

"Last"??? You don't really expect us to believe that, do you?
Looks like fun! I like those later Corvairs.

I'm beyond capacity now....9 cars and room to park 6. 3 are in off-site storage and need to come home in April. Not sure where to put them...
I do intend to sell the '67 GTO, '69 K1500 and the '65 Corvair Monza this year. We'll see how well that works out.

I'm not sure I'm buying that last one stuff either; more like the last one this spring maybe.
