Would like some names of people that would do a conversion to running condition. Any help would be appreciated

What's the name of the guy in Farmington/Lakeville with the dark green '70 Nova with an LS that does pro touring/slalom racing? I think some in the club know him, and he's supposed to be an LS install guru. I think Dashboard and Derek know him?
Jason or something like that?

That's it!
Of course, we have the resident LS install experts in the club in Steve S. and Dashboard as well. Andy also did it, but haven't heard from him for awhile.

Wow, yea Andy. What ever happened to him I wonder. I figured he would have at least made it to Karls last month.

I know about him was wondering if there were other options
Roger, have you done any research on www.ls1.com ? LOTS of swap/install info on there about many different makes and models.
Cost is greatly impacted by the use of used parts from donor vehicles that are adapted or all new. One part that comes to mind is the fuel tank. Some people adapt tanks from 90's cars for very low cost and others use all new tanks that are model specific with internal pumps. An external pump on an LS swap doesn't usually work for long. Radiators are another big expense, again model specific or generic with a bypass steam hose rather than to the radiator. Single or dual electric fans and cfm capacity are critical for the application and intended usage.
Having a good baseline idea about what you want and what it will take to get there is always good when discussing costs with potential builders.

ls1tech.com has a conversion and hybrid section that will answer most questions you come up with. Are you looking to have a Chevelle done? Do you have a motor already? Are you looking for an automatic or manual tranny?

67 chevelle, don't have anything yet, probably auto but wouldn't rule out a stick.

What are your plans, reliable driver, high-performance, or somewhere in between?

somewhere in between if possible is what I would like, but if a good deal for more came along I might go that route. The high performance stuff get's spendy.

Never hurts to know what you're getting into before talking to someone. Might want to check this out. It's for Camaro, but there's other info too: http://www.cartechbooks.com/how-to-swap-gm-ls-engines-into-camaros-firebirds-1967-1981.html
