Not car related but what I have been working on lately. The manual crank for rotating the chute on my snowblower sucks. The manufacture wanted $600 bucks for their electric chute rotator so I decided to build my own. Bought a heavy duty wiper motor for an RV and fabricated all rest.
NICE!! Now just rig up a heavy-duty DPDT toggle switch as a "polarity-flipper" and you're good to go!
(In your case substitute Left/Right for Up/Down)
And limit switches so you don't have to manually stop it at the end of the travel or have it come around so far, it throws the snow on the cab.

I have the DPDT switch but I am going to do it through a couple relays to take the load off the switch. This will also make it so I don't have to run such heavy wire up to the switch. I can put the relays closer to the unit and run smaller wire back to the toggle up front.

A small watertight "project box" for the relays and one of these, some cable glands/grips and you're good to go!
Another thought was maybe one of these, and it's matching "bulkhead" connector on the relay box. Easy quick-connect for dismounting the blower. I think AEI/ACME in Golden Valley would have them.

HEY wait a tick! What's that F*RD lawn and garden tractor in the background. Please don't tell us that's what's powering the snow blower since it's a Fix Or Repair Daily product!!!
Seriously, nice idea on the rotator. When I worked at Toro, they spent lots of money and engineering time figuring out the joy stick control on the big 2 stage walk behind units (I think Dashboard has that on his). How fast does the motor turn rotation to rotation? Hopefully it's not reduced too slow and you have to sit and wait for it.

His snow thrower has a sticker that states "max 40 hp". That Ford won't turn the rotors thru air...
I'm sure it is for a larger, mid sized, ag tractor, similar to my New Holland. With the hand rotator, it appears he had to get out of the seat, walk back and turn the chute by hand. With it powered, it will be much more convenient to stay in the seat and flip a switch, even it if it does rotate a little slow...

Yep that is it, I did not have a picture of it on my computer and did not feel like getting one of the internet. Thanks Mitch. I also built this snow plow for it a few years ago. Uses a meyers blade for a truck and I made the white colored attachment for the tractor and quick couplers for the hydraulics to hook to the tractor to pivot the blade left and right.

Do you have a cab to at least protect you from the wind ?
I had a huge thrower on the back of mine for a few years, but it seemed overkill and neither the wife, or I, liked driving backwards so I sold it. I was still doing winter OTR and if it snowed while I was gone, she would clear a path the 300 feet to the shop so I could get the truck inside when I got home. I don't seem to have any pics on this computer. Must be on the old one.

Buy the tractor of choice and have a "barn raising" to install the proper height door on the back wall next summer....

So I finally got back to working on this again. Wiring is all done and it is operational. Here are few more pictures and I hope a video.

Thanks for the link paste Stan, at least I got it done before winter Was over. I hope it works as good in the snow as it does in the garage.
If it is light enough out tonight when I get home I'll try and get the wife to snap a couple.
