Strange topic I know but this past year has been pretty tough. I have had disc problems in my neck, C5-C6 specifically, that has taken up a lot of my attention in the last year. I did have surgery on it finally on November 12 where they remove the disc and put in a cadavor bone with a titanium plate and screws which immediately made me a half inch taller!
We have been living with a buddy following the sale of our home earlier this year. Just about 2 weeks after I got home from the hospital my pain meds were stolen from my bedside ... from one of my buddy's 2 adult children who had just moved back in with dad (my buddy) when their mom moved out of state, mom and dad are divorced. That turned bad so I had to move and lost a buddy. Don't live with friends.
About 2 weeks after that I was suppose to go back to work from my 4-week medical leave and instead they terminated me! I have now been released by the doctor to work full time with restrictions which slowly lift but I am fully employable again so now I spend my days looking for work, which is a lot of work, and watching movies.
So, I guess I have been in LaLa Land for a while and hope to get back in to main stream living fairly soon.
So Happy New Year, seriously ... Happy New Year!

Sorry to hear of your issues.
Come on out to the Bow Tie Brunch next Saturday and start the transition back to car stuff.

Yup. It sounds like you need some good old fashioned car guy therapy. There is a therapy session scheduled at Karls next weekend. By this time of winter, we all could use it.

Darren, wherever you've been... tear up the map and don't go back pal! Any recourse on the termination, or is being filed under "water under the bridge... burned or not"?
