Don't know much about details yet... probably won't happen until 2015. Lots of logistics with trans-continental/hemisphere stuff, and his family is HUGE (he has like 40 1st cousins or something...).

As a descendant of German Catholic farmers, HUGE=40 makes me chuckle.

Considering that our entire "close" family consists of 8 people... bump that to 24 if you count ALL of my aunts/uncles/cousins... 40 IS huge!
(funny, we're also of German/Catholic descent... but I guess we didn't have the need to create our own labor force to work the farm )

I'm with Derek...40 is cozy. We have family Christmas on my Dad's side at a VFW hall as we don't all fit at one house. 100+ once you add the cousins children in the mix. Shannan's side is the same since her parents both have siblings counts of 10+

Congrats John to you and the expanding family! You'll have to keep Grandpa's future little helpers in mind when you retrofit the 40watt garage.

Cathy has 56 first cousins and all of them are from her dad's side and hundreds of second ones. She knows all of them by name etc. I have maybe 9 or 12 or something like that, have no idea where any of them live or what their names are. Always thought that was kind of strange.

Mom is one of 12 kids in her family, and Dad is one of 15 in his... I have around 90 first cousins.

My Dad's Dad came from Norway as a teenager, by himself. His last name was Anderson and when he got here, he supposedly, adopted the name of the town he came from. I've never found that town on a map of Norway, but I haven't found a map from 1910 either. I have no idea who I am related to over there but, there are only 5 of us left with that last name. Only 2 of them are still of "breeding stock" to carry on the name.

I'm the same way with my last name Mitch. There's us 4, my dad's brother and his wife and kids (5 total), plus a grandma and some distant older lady in another state. Only 2 boys left who can have kids to carry the name on..... I'm betting my girls will change theirs.
The pic says it all:
Is he moving here ?
