There are some interesting projects cars in the background of your pictures. Where is the yard? What type engine would go in one of those cars? I think your brothers V12 Buick Nailhead would be cool.

The yard is in Blooming Prairie, MN
Most likely it would have had a 60hp Ford flathead V8
...and if I ever decide to sell, I think at the BTTF swap meet I could get about 4X what I paid.

How much for the sprint car ?? There is a guy that drove one to No St Paul a few times last year but the price was a bit out of my budget. Looked like fun though...
Gotta go with Keith... quit buying and finish the Chevelle...

I don't remember the price for the sprint car, but I think it was somewhere around $750-1000. I remember thinking it was reasonable, but I resisted the urge.

Hmmm... I'm not sure I'm done buying stuff from there, and you'll be looking at the same stuff.
Should I keep it secret and horde it for myself, or share the info and maybe save myself some money?
OK, I'll share. I'm going back Saturday afternoon... maybe I'll see you there?
PM sent.

That's what I told Judy when we bought the El Camino back.

Not sounding likely, Tony. I talked to him last night and he wants to keep it and "fix it up someday"... like we've never heard that before....

that guy who brings one to north st paul is one tall guy. i put in his furnace. has rubber foam on the beams in his basement. you would think after the first few head bangs you would figure it out. keeps that car in a little 3 season porch added on to his garage. told me years ago he drives it to north st paul a couple times a year and thats it.

I brought home a 1937 Ford V8 60hp "tin side" engine with aluminum heads today.
I took the Midget to an early Ford swap meet today with a "Not For Sale, Parts Wanted" sign on it and got a lot of good leads for old speed stuff... need to let my wallet cool down though after some of the recent purchases.
So I brought this home tonight...

It's a sprint car that looks to be from the 70s.
It's all about the thrill of the chase.
