Weather permitting I will be going on Sunday. Anyone else want to make a last run before winter?

Hmmm... I'm looking for a cruise idea Sunday, so I might have to run up there to watch you guys. The vert won't be put on the track though.

Can't make it. I'll be at the swap meet at the Fairgrounds. Oct 19th is Fun Day. I may try for that, IF the weather is still co-operating.

I may be in on that too. Not going to race the Chevelle...Things start breaking when racing....Didn't build it as a drag car...

I didn't either, but a couple times a year is kind of fun. I'd like to see if that .10 I lost in the spring shows back up with cooler weather. It would be nice to get a few more "muscle cars" to these events. In the spring the majority of cars were new mustangs, camaros, and challengers. A kid parked next to me won the 15 second class with a Nissan Sentra.
I'm not sure if Jim is going, last I heard from him he had a transmission leak. Might just be me.

What better time to find the "weak link" than at the end of the season when you have all winter to fix it!
Consider it part of a preemptive maintenance program.
If it survives the drag strip this fall, it'll probably last all next summer too. If something's going to break next June, you might be able coax it into breaking now instead so you don't lose any driving time in the middle of summer.

I am done with car projects for a while. Burned out I guess for now. This I will old man it and go to the St. Paul show.

Rock Falls was a zoo. The Saturday fun day was rained out so they combined it with today's muscle car day. I've never seen so many cars there. During time trials almost all 13 lanes were full. I managed 2 runs before eliminations. I did get my .10 back from this spring and went 3 rounds in the 12 second class, losing in the semi's. There were so many cars it was an hour between rounds.
