I got a torchless heat gun called "Bolt Buster" for loosening siezed bolts/nuts. It's an electomagntic induction heater. It came with several sizes of tips too.
I pulled a brake caliper off the shelf to test it. The brake line nut is siezed and the head stripped from someone trying to get it loose.
I put the ring around it and counted to 30....seconds, and it was red hot...
I had to use a visegrip to get it out with the stripped head but it came out fairly easily.

Very cool idea, direct heat without burning up things you don't want to. How much did it cost Mitch?

I got of from ebay. Seller has a set price of $369.95, but also a "make offer" button. The shipping was $15 so I offered $335. Got it in 3 days for $350 to my door.
Centerline, where I have worked part time, has one and I used it a few times on suspension bolts that are siezed and surrounded by plastic parts. It's almost like magic how it heats up the fasteners without any heat to surrounding parts, except what transfers.
I have to replace nearly all of the 100 screws holding the wood deck on my '52 flat bed. It started warping this spring with the constant rain and I realized most of the screws are broke off in the metal crossmembers from years of expansion and contraction... I tried to get them out the bottom but after 4 of the 6 I tried broke off in the crossmember, I knew I needed something to get them loose. This will work without heating the wood to flash point like a torch.

30 seconds doesn't seem very long to get the metal red hot with only household current. Maybe I'll have to read up on "electromagnetic induction."

OK, I've been using it a lot and can get more pics of what I'm doing with it.
