The third Saturday of each month is "Car Club Weekend" at the Automotorplex in Chanhassen. This Saturday (August 17) from 8 AM until noon is designated for Chevrolet and GM cars.
I'm aware that some may not have had good experiences at AMP, but I've found that's more likely to occur on the first Saturday of the month at their "Cars 'n' Coffee" show. That's when they seem to get a lot of exotic foreign cars and their more "exotic" drivers. The third Saturday events seem to attract a different crowd (IMHO).
It's always nice to see a few of the garages that are open for viewing. Some have plastic chains across the entrance but it's still nice to look inside from the driveway. Others are willing to have spectators come in and look around.
I notice that the AMP site doesn't mention the third Saturday events. I haven't been out there at all this year, but I'm assuming that the Autoswalk listing is not in error. I may give them a call tomorrow (Wednesday) and confirm Saturday's get-together.

It's a good thing nobody else went to this. Except for 8 Mustangs from a club and 4 Buick Grand Nationals from a club, there were about a dozen other cars there. Only a couple garages were open. One person said that he had been there two weeks prior to the first Saturday of the month "Cars 'n' Coffee" show and the place was FULL with people being turned away.
