We watch it occassionaly here, always thought if I get down that way I would have to stop by sometime.

does it look the same in person as it does on the tv? Bring home some of those old gas station and oil signs they are always collecting! That would look pretty cool hanging on a garage wall

That's cool to be that close and see it. Been watching it since the beginning. Was Danielle around?

pretty cool we watch it, kids especially like it. My 13yr old daughter loves American Restoration too.

It looks exactly the same, as it IS the building, not some studio lot set. (I watched the show last night, and my truck was parked right where the Caddy Fleetwood that Frank brought back from Jersey - this is the real deal). Sorry, no Danielle yesterday, or Mike & Frank (they must be on the road).
I'm guessing that due to the popularity & growth of the biz, they've got to have a warehouse somewhere for their "stash", because this building can't be more than 30' x 60', and about 1/2 of it is now retail for "American Picker's" logo gear. There is a new building going up to the south/left of the sign-car, but I don't know what it's destiny is.
I'm staying about 4 minutes from here...

It is really a tourist stop! There were about a dozen people at any given time milling about during the hour I was there. It's a 1/2 block west of the main drag through Le Claire, across the street from the cop shop, on Davenport.
(I don't think I could afford what Mike would want for some of the automo-bilia. Gas pumps & Globes bring primo $$$.)
