Going to this one Sunday. Anyone interested in joining up in Shakopee and cruising in together?
I probably won't stay until it ends, but looks cool with a cruise in together from Canterbury Park, get some free Mystic bucks for the wife to spend, and a live band in the afternoon.
And... they have flying Elvi parachuting in at 3 p.m.!

We're also planning on going there. A Shakopee meet-up would be good. Maybe we could get some Chevelles together and have breakfast before going out to Canterbury.

How about meeting up at The Windmill Cafe on Hwy 13 say 8 a.m.? It's good old fashioned cafe breakfast with lots of good grease!
Open to other ideas if anyone is more familiar with the area.
Tom, you can drive up to my place and head out from there if you want to.
I'm going by myself, then Tina is going to come later in the morning since her folks are in town, and they are going to have breakfast.

Hey Ron, Tom (Gearlube) and I will roll in to the Windmill 8ish since I just mapped it out, and it say it will take us 30 min. or so, and we are leaving my place at 7:30 a.m. So, should be there no later than 8:10-15 a.m.
Should be fine, because they aren't lining up at Canterbury Park for the cruise to Mystic Lake until 9 a.m.
Here's the Windmill Cafe address:

Helpful reminder that I got from Tim H.--- If anyone is coming from the north, 169 is down to 1 lane on the ferry bridge. Might want to consider taking I35 from the north instead.

I can tell you I35E is bad yesterday, it was down to one lane each way in Eagan / Apple Valley / Burnsville. I35W was okay.

Had a great day having breakfast with Ron and Lorraine, Tom, and Pops showed up with his '69, then on to the show where it finally cleared off and we had some sunshine and John D and Sheryl arrived to make a club representation!
Will probably do this one again next year. Lots of variety of cars, live music, casino bucks, parachuting Flying Elvi, chassis dyno, and a t-shirt for the $10 entry fee. Only goofy part was the 'cruise' was nothing more than dodging speed bumps at Canterbury to pick up the 'registration', then a 5 mile drive to Mystic Lake at your own leisure. No queing up of cars for a cruise, so it was kind of strange. Lots of local law enforcement camped out as well...
Saw Tom/Gearlube's completed sinister looking Chevelle for the first time, and it is cool and mean looking. I will leave the posting of pics up to him.
Also saw member Tom B. chassis dyno his laser straight '72 Chevelle.

This show has some serious growth potential. About the only downside is it's on a parking deck (HOT)... but they had it dialed in - live music, food variety, an A/C'd casino steps away.
