I would bet he said El Camino and the reporter wrote Camaro instead.

Bingo! She got the color of the Viper wrong as well. LOL
26 trophies up for grabs and the MN Viper Club took 10 home.

Keith, that's awesome!
I lived in Nebraska almost 40 years, and never heard of that track in Hastings, NE. As soon as I saw the khastv in the URL, I knew what it was. We have a manufacturing plant there where I work, and actually need to get back there soon. I'll have to leave a meeting early some afternoon when there, and will check it out.

Outstanding Keith! You've got this 'going fast' thing all figured out.

I worked in Hastings in the early 90's and it wasn't there when I was there. I looked it up and the site is fairly new and it was less than a mile from where I bought my 64.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
The track has been running with a permanent paved surface since 2006 I believe. Nice safe technical course. My top speed was only 130mph. Very flat runoff areas. You would have to really do something stupid to hurt the car there. If you spin off track all you have to do is clean the alfalfa out of the car. The track manager George Anderson is an absolute hoot. He and the rest of the crew are the main reason we keep going back. The One Lap Of America stopped there last year. Definitely go check it out someday Stan if you're there.
