Welcome Dave!
Chris, other than the white interior, that looks a lot like what I remember your '66 looked like 10 years ago before it went into storage jail.

Mitch, the weather stripping and front sway bar is from you. I've been to your place. How is that 12 bolt holding up?
You're 12 Bolt Dave in Oakdale ??? The clutch went instead of the rear end.... Guess I should've stayed with a 3800 rpm launch and not 4500...
I've got a 8.5 10 bolt I need rebuilt and set up. It needs a bearing kit. I have the seals. Interested ??
Now I remember seeing that Chevelle shortly after you got it. Been a long project but looks like it turned out nice.
I was kind of watching for you last Friday in No St Paul. I had my '38 coupe down near the Post Office.

I might be wrong. Won't be the 1st time. But that carb set up looks its off a 67 Corvette 427 tri power set up ?. Welcome to a great club and a bunch of great guys.

Thanks for the welcome. You guys let me park a 70 SS454 in No. St. Paul with your group. It was a gray LS5. I think Derrick had a need for a metric bolt for his brakes if I remember right, it's been several years. We went back to my garage and I dug one up. Jim, yes I remember you. I have a 65 Biscayne as well. The tri carb is a 68 manifold, the 67's sit a lttle higher.

Oh, you're THAT Dave! I know who you are now. You are the nice guy that ran Derek home to help with the caliper bolt you mentioned, and I bought a rear sway bar and lower control arms from you a couple of Chevelles ago (I have a bad Chevelle habit...). I also ran into you at a car show last summer somewhere too.
Great to have you on the forum, and looking forward to seeing you and the '66 soon!

That was the first thing I thought too. Only other thing different is the wheels. It still hasnt had all the trim put back on it.

I remember that night too now. Seems I recall you sold the LS5 car a few years ago to a relative and I seem to recall something similiar to what Jim mentions about you posting about your 66 on TC not too long ago. Now we are connecting the dots. Anyways, welcome again.

We're having a club meeting here this Saturday and then, weather permitting, we will cruise to Hastings around 3:00 for the show. Weather pattern isn't looking good for the show right now. Hope this pattern of weekend rain goes away soon.
If the weather (again) is nice I will bring my Camaro to No St Paul this week. I had a request from a long ago friend to bring it.

I LOVE THE 3x2 427 sweet engine nice car. that is some serious coin on the top of that engine.

The engine is an original 435hp tri carb motor but had a 4 bbl on it when I got it. I found the intake sitting in a gas station in Wisconsin, it had been on the shelf for many years. I went through the carbs and it works great. I pulled the 360 hp 396 out and it sure woke it up. We'll be running it down the track sometime this summer to see what it will do. We have a Biscayne that runs high 11's and I think the Chevelle will run right with it.
I just finished a 66 SS Chevelle. The engine is a 69 427/435hp Corvette engine. 4 speed 4.10 12 bolt. I'll post a few pics when I get it figured out.
