I have a day off next week and was going to pull the Chevelle out and drive it somewhere. Seeing the salt being laid down on Hwy 65 has assured me that I won't. I saw the track team had shoveled off their section of the track at the high school and were practicing in jackets. The softball and baseball fields are crap and barricaded for practicing, and watching the track and field runners going through the neighborhoods in hats, gloves, and in a few cases boots makes me almost feel sorry for them.
Luckily I have one daughter that plays basketball and the other wants to be a chef, so we're indoor activity people.

My calendar must be broken. It says we're less than 2 weeks away from May... that can't be right.

I was actually thinking of driving my Chevelle to Craig's on Saturday, but I don't have a plow attachment for it.

Report in, looks like 6 inches here, going to enjoy a cup of coffee then go out and enjoy the last snow fall of the winter of 2012-13 and the beginning of Spring. More later.
About 6" here too but I don't like the ominus threat you threw at Mother Nature, accusing her of no more snow. This horsedung winter isn't over yet. I've given up on spring. I'm hoping we get a summer......
Next year, I'm leaving the frickin' snow tires on until Memorial Day.

Chris is right, screw this, I'm going to run a white flag up the flag pole, I give up, I quite, I surrender. It needs to be over or I'll need to check myself in somewhere.

I believe that. She said there is a 6' snow drift in her driveway. Reminds me of the old days growing up there. :D

I already have a place picked out, just west of San Antonio. 16 year old double wide on 2 acres for 100k. Even has an above ground pool ! Plenty of room for a 40x60 shed and no restrictions. Even horses are allowed on that acreage. I can envision having well over 1,000 horses stabled in the shed......
Small town on a nice lake 4 miles down the road with marinas for fishing and recreational boating.

I agree that this never ending winter does suck! I'm ready for some warmer weather! Dealing with over a foot of snow was not how I wanted to spend last evening and this morning...

It is 2:12 and the road in front of my house just got plowed for the first time. *** Got stuck trying to go to work this morning and had to call my wife to come and drag me back with her jeep. Now spend the weekend trying to clean up all this crap.

I was going to leave my gravel shop driveway to melt but it would take too long. I hooked up the plow again and very slowly and gently pushed enough aside to get some sun melt again. It was a constant game of adjusting the plow to keep it from diggin up the saturated gravel...
Ready for more? Another 6-7 inches expected tonight.
Just plain nuts this year.

I'm gonna need a doggie-shrink if this keeps up... the pooch won't go on bare grass now! There's been snow on the ground for so long that even with the slight thaw we've had she'll hunt the yard for a patch of snow to do her business on.

I'm thinking 6" or so overnight... I shovelled last night about 10 p.m., and only had another inch or so this morning. My neighbor started snow blowing at 5:30 a.m., but I can't complain because he did the end of the driveway where the plow left it's deposit!

Glad it went south this time instead of north. I maybe have 1-2 inches at my place.

Smart dog... trying to melt the snow faster.
