I may be able to get a complete car barn find that has been stored about 20 years. They have gone out to start it every year or so but it has been a few years since it has been started. I will see some pictures tomorrow but wanted to get some of your opinions on this car as well.

I have a '50 Super fastback and I love it. I'm whittling away at it, making it safe to drive and I don't care when I finish it. The engine is at the shop now, I have a plan for a trans and I got a new rear axle for it already.
The thing is, if you keep the stock running gear (Straight 8/DynaFlow or 3 on the tree, torque tube), it will be horribly slow. The stock brakes are junk compared to modern stuff- not only is that odd to drive, but it's not safe either. If the guy in front of you stops quickly, you'll hit him. No chance.
So, I'm upgrading to front discs, and lowering it a bit too. I'm adding some custom touches and converting to 12V (it's a factory 6V system).
They are really stylish cars and look better than most everything else from that era. There are a lot of fans, and a decent market of used parts. Not many repops though, but stuff like carpets and upholstery is available. Not much sheetmetal- make sure that's nice. Trim bits can be found.
You will love it, but it'll suck money from other projects. I've had mine on the back burner while I got the wagon dialed in. Now I'm giving it more attention. I just hope nothing breaks on the wagon..
