At one of the shows this summer, I saw a black w/white SS stripe Vega that was converted into a Camaro front and rear end, and it was actually done really well. I kept looking at it, and my mind just wouldn't accept that a Camaro should look that short!

Stan are you sure that wasn't just an early Vega? The 71-73 Vegas came from the factory with a large grill just like the 70-73 Camaros and they also had 4 tailights. I had a V8 Vega wagon in high school, I really miss that car.
That "Camaro" kit car is absolutely hideous!

That would be my guess too... here's one that has been converted to a "split bumper" which makes it look even more camaro-like.
Corvette kit car . . . but maybe someday they will do something similar with a Chevelle!
