As I chip away at things on my chevelle, i decided to see if a new speedometer cable would quiet things down and stop the wild swings in readings.
a little web surfing got me to finding there was on on the shelf at the O'Reilly store ~1 mile from my house (for roughtly 1/2 the price i found it on line plus shipping).
it was a lot of contortionism but it is in and works great.
now i will not have to drive 2/3's of the way to Mantorville before it quiets down.

Isn't it amazing Bruce how sometimes it's the simpler things that give the most joy?
I've found that O'Reily's has quite a few parts for our cars still in stock, and they are usually half the price of NPD, Year1, etc. Especially brake parts. I guess the catalog companies think they have you, so they charge double for the guys that don't do their research.

What is the part number so I can add it to the "speedo cable" post in the Tech Resources thread.
