I know about Proven Force, but they are like 2 hours north. Does anyone know of any in the cities?

What length do you need? I might have what you need.

Catco in Roseville, west of the mall near the dealerships & lottery office. (This is the shop where they do the work, or where another Catco ships a driveshaft to).
I think there's a "Clutch & U-Joint" (or something like that) in Burnsville as well.
Wherever you go, I'd hold off until the driveline is in place with the final components. Call them and ask exactly how & what they want you to measure, then take it in for cutting.

Call Master Trans in Rosemount and ask where they get them done.
I found a Discount Transmission in Eagan....bing it for info.
There is Northern Engine in Hudson, WI. A Camaro Club member had a whole NEW shaft made for under $200...

I had one done at Clutch & U-joint in burnsville about 15 years ago, they've moved down near the Bville/Savage border on hwy 13.

The Rochester Catco location has changed names... Looks like they still do the same work, but with a different name on the door. Are the ones up there still the same, or did they get bought out?
When these shops balance the drive shaft, how many rpms do they spin the shaft at. I had mine balanced at Catco in Rochester a few years back and if I remember correctly, they could not rotate it all that fast?

Go with a 200-4R instead and you can use the same driveshaft, and you'll like the gear spacing better with a deeper overdrive too (I think it's 0.67 vs. 0.70)!
All you have to change is move the trans cross member to the most rearward holes. All the rest is bolt in.

200-4R are very rare to get. Also the trans guy I talked to said they are not as strong. I found that Proven Force moved to Maple Wood which is closer to me then they were before. They charge $100 for shortening, balance and paint. Thanks all for the help.

Maple Grove, not Maplewood. They're actually a little farther from you now.

I know this is an old post but seeing if any of these places are still around? I'm in the south metro and will need a new drive shaft this spring/summer

Proven Force is still around. I think the clutch and U-joint is still there off 13 near the Savage border.

Have used Wheelco several times for balancing and confirming u-joint condition.
They have always been fair.
They do a LOT of big truck stuff.

Balanced, straightened, 2 u joints, sanded the whole shaft, and replaced yoke on pinion end, I think $180.
