Not really a new topic since it has been dragging out for over a year now. Anyway, the car went in last week and the engine got pulled and off to Wheeler's for a break down, inspection and rebuild. I hope to hear something this week as to what they have found regarding anything out of spec. At least GMPP is still standing behind the project as a warranty case.

Jon, you did have the dealer install clevis pins on the hood hinges and motor mount bolts for easy in/out installation... right?
Seriously, I hope this is the last time for you. You've had your engine(s) in and out more times than I've had Chevelles, which isn't good!

Let's not exagerate your Chevelle count to my engine pulls. I am way past the clevis pins and moved directly to a quality velcro!!!

At least you know the bolts weren't going to be tough to loosen up.

One of the side benefits to yanking an engine is the ability to clean those hard to get at places in the engine compartment. So in an effort to stay positive on ‘positive Wednesday’; we know who has the cleanest engine bay.
