I love craigslist. I decided to try and find a more correct 327 block to use for the chevelle instead of the 350 block that I have. Searching craigslist what do I find a correct casting, almost perfect date code, and even correct chevelle EA deck stamping 327 275 horse block about 1/2 hour from my house. The block is still standard bore and has been baked and cleaned already. To bad it is not a complete motor but I'll piece the rest of it together.

I was pretty happy when I got home and started looking more at the numbers on it. They guy I bought it from was going to put it in a 66 Impala convert but found a 427 instead. Better for me!

I found something today in a magazine, I cut it out for you. Pretty well addresses one of the things you weren't sure about with it.
