Going to be going on this next Saturday if anybody else is interested. Is on the north side of town. Some stops I know of are route 65 classics, broadway pizza in rogers, rogers rod and custom in east bethel.
Might have to do this if not busy that day. I'd like to do a car cruise poker run to see how it might work for the club!

Huh ??? I thought you had TPIS tune it this summer ...
I did this on the inaugural run. I was a member of the Oakland/Pontiac club that year and they put this on. I know Rusty a little from that event. Norm's has been the host starting point for all the runs but they have moved to Roseville now. I'll have to see what happens a little later in the week to know if I can make it.

You have decks of cards and draw one card at each stop. Whoever has the best poker hand after the 5th stop wins...
I've been on a few with other clubs and events... some have had some pretty nice prizes, but I've never won anything.

Stan: i have about 30 + yrs of putting a poker run on but with Harley's. Not much difference except for 2 extra tires. I can give you some Idea's and saftey concerns. Plus your going to need people to work the stops. You can call me anytime after 4 pm on Mon & Tues. The rest of the week I'm open to it all day. I'd be glad to help out!

There are rules extending to "poker" runs by the !RS and these should be considered. The other club I'm involved with used a bag toss to verify the "random chance" description rather than the "gambling" description of using cards. Some one threatened to turn the club in for issuing cash prizes as they are untracable and the recipients don't claim them as income thus the !RS doesn't get their "fair share" of profits. The club officers need to talk with Rick/Rusty to get an idea how to appease all the concerned parties. Usually, most of the income has to be donated to a charity and many of the giveaway prizes are donated by sponsors.

Yes, but it was tuned for max power, not driveability. We moved the base timing up about 16 degrees which seems to have affected the fuel tables enough that it doesn't run well at low RPMs (cruising speed), and the cooler air apparently is magnifying that. I could have stayed for more tuning time and gotten that dialed in too, but it was out of my budget. No complaints on what he did, I just have to correct what I have now to compensate for what he improved. The computer doesn't automatically adjust that, it adjusts based on what the sensors read and the parameters you dictate (Voodoo meets the Ouija board?). 67SS and I will be doing some road time with it and he will dial it in. We have to do something similar to his now that the bigger supercharger is on his blue car too. MAYBE we can do that to his this poker run if he can get his new tuning program ready.
This thread has a flyer attached on it with more information.

The band at the end of the cruise plays most Friday nights in No. St. Paul. Mostly 50's stuff and especially Elvis !!! They are actually very good.
This is the same day as the Fun Race at Rock Falls....
The next day is Muscle Car races...

Here's some pics. We had stops at Norm's tire in Roseville, Garage Solution Condos in Columbus, Roger's Rod & Custom's in East Bethel, Broadway Pizza in Rogers, Route 65 in Ham Lake, and Maxx Bar & Grill at the end. About 100 miles total, some trafic, some impromptu "spirited acceleration" moments, and a good time. I'd love to organize one for the club and open it up to anyone else wanting to go sometime.
There was a mix of restoreds, hot rods, street machines, and some 11 second or better drag cars. The worst part about it (other than traffic in Rogers) was trying to keep the camera still enough to get a good shot.

Looks like a great time. Did you have to tip that guy cleaning your windshield?
About the pix in the garage complex, what size would you say the space is?
Still time left for the club to do something this fall.

The single garages were 25 wide 45 deep I think. So that one should have been 50 wide and 45 deep.
