Who's gonna make it?
This is the officer election meeting. Must be present to be nominated and elected. Now's your chance to step up and participate!
For what it's worth, I'm willing to be the prez 1 more year (assuming I'm nominated by someone), then someone else can have a go at it. I'm still having fun doing it, and hopefully everyone's been o.k. with the direction we've gone. But, with a recent job position change, I have even less time than I did before. But, I do have some ideas in mind to make the meetings and club doings even more fun!

I should make it. I was considering going to the auto show in Chicago but don't have the ambition for that. Too much to do here to lose a weekend.
Wish I could drive the coupe, but I remember driving home in a near blizzard one year and without heat, that wouldn't be good...

I plan on being there, though not until about 1/1:05. Have a basket ball game to attend, my older daughter's team is consistantly slaughtering their opponents.
I am willing to put my name in for doing the newsletters again.

A correction on my statement below regarding needing to be present to be nominated and elected. That is not correct.
Here is how that section reads from the by-laws:
Section 4. Election of Officers
Nominations for officer positions will be made at the regular October or November Club meeting. All Club officers shall be elected at the November Club Meeting. Election shall be by a majority vote of the members present. There will be no absentee voting.

Drive your Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino to the meeting today!!!
How often do you get to drive it in mid Nov.? Even if you have it in storage, dust it off for one more drive.
I would if mine wasn't in the CAC so far!

Yep Stan, it as great day to drive with late season dry and warm weather. So nice in fact I think Cheryl and i will drive down to lake city after church for lunch.
Thanks to you and all the other officers who agreed to sign up for anouther year, it is a fun club and you are all doing a great job.
Bruce, it was cool that you and Ian drove your Chevelles, and there was an Impala there too! Like I said, if mine was together, I'd be racking up some miles today and probably even on Thanksgiving day!
For those that didn't make the meeting, the officers did not change for 2013, and Bryan stepped up to take over the newsletter again (thanks Bryan! ). So here's the breakdown:
President-Stan
Vice President-Tom aka Gearlube
Treasurer-Mike aka OscarZ
Webmaster-John D
Secretary-Chris R
CLUB VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
Event/Calender Coordinator-Chad (with Shawna's help on the calender)
Merchandise Coordinator-Craig aka Pushrod
Car Show & Newsletter Coordinator-Bryan F.
Car Craft Logistics Coordinators-John D and Pushrod
Thanks to all the officers and volunteers for stepping up for 2013 again!
And thanks for the good turnout at the meeting and to Larry and Corvette Specialties for continuing the Nov. Meeting Tradition! Hopefully everyone enjoyed the lunch, raffle, and mini-swap meet in the parking lot. Congrats to those that won the air cleaner, make your own t-shirt design, Rochester carb, NOS Super Sport book, trivia candy, and O'Reilly's gift cards. Sorry for those that missed it.
Don't forget the club Christmas Party on the 15th, and bring a toy for the Toys for Tots donation. Hope to see you there.
