If anyone sees the Fall 2012 issue of that Chevelle magazine, could you post here where I can find it? I just got notified that my wagon is in there so I would like to grab a copy or two. Its probably just a rerun of the Car Craft feature, but still pretty cool.

Check Barnes and Noble. I bought the summer version of 'Chevelle' magazine there.

They do...enough to run the car, but not enough to send a couple issues out my way. It's cool.

It used to be that magazine was even carried by the Wal-mart newstand of all places. Now it seems impossible to find.

Hi Scott,
I'm a relatively new member who has not yet had the opportunity of even attending my first NCC meeting yet (I have a '70 Monte Carlo, but really it's just a longer Chevelle so I hope you won't hold it against me - LOL). I found two copies at a local newsstand - unfortunately they both appear to have been read, but are otherwise in good shape. I grabbed the two because I ran across this thread while trying to locate a copy myself.
You'd think they'd make it possible to subscribe to these special issues. :(
If you just send me your address I'll be glad to send you one of my copies for cost plus postage. (e-mail me at setterboy@aol.com). If you've since located one, great - perhaps another club member would like it.

Wow Bob- Thanks a lot!
I'll gladly take it off your hands. I've yet to find an issue, but I like to stock up on these things anyway, so the more copies, the better.
Are you going to be at the St. Peter meeting on Saturday? I could see you then and will gladly compensate you for the cost of the magazine.

Hi Scott,
Unfortunately, I won't be at St. Peter - I do want to attend a meeting to meet everyone, but things just haven't worked out as yet. I live in Crystal - perhaps a member close to me could stop by on the way (and you could just pay me at a future NCC meeting), or I could just mail it to you via Media Mail (I would think the postage cost would be somewhat cheaper).

I live just down the road from you (just down CR81) and may be able to work something out. I am planning to head to St. Peter.

Actually, the Monte design was a prototype of the '70 Chevelle and was rejected in favor of what we see for the Chevelle. The Monte design was so well received that GM decided to make it a stand alone model, which is good but it was a close call of the Chevelle only having 2 headlights in '70 instead of '71....
Oh and welcome Bob !!!! I like the 1st gen Monte's too....
