No title or tags is kind of a big problem though... perfect candidate for a race car build though, Smokey Yunick themed of course.

IMO, no title or tags means the price is cut by at least 75%. You cant get one without the other, even if you tried to get a state issued vin. The fender looks like turbo jet flags once resided there. Its a safe bet the tags still exist, on another 66. Most likely on a once was Malibu.

It may still have the VIN tag. Ad states it's missing from the firewall. It was never on there...
Too bad it's so far away. I'd like to see it.

Talked to the guy about a week ago. Not his car, belongs to a buddy and has been sitting at his place for a few years. Owner says sell it. 3 extra clips would seem to indicate that some cars have been parted out or rebuilt.
Mitch, there are a couple of other 66's in Kansas, one is a SS.

Did you ask if he would take more/better pics to see some detail ?

Not really, I was looking for 66 AC parts. Though he might have some so didn't bother. The 2 cars in Kansas looking interesting. Owned by supposedly a 80 yr old guy. You need a semi to haul the 3 bodies and extra clips home.

That passenger side grill extension looks like the original, hard to find all black OEM peice. The replacements even new from GM were different. You dont see the real ones that were put on while going down the assembly line very often. Not that its worth anything, just an interesting observation.

Thinking it was a malibu, so didn't notice that. The extension on the other side looks like malibu a well as the grill. But the filler panel appears to had a different paint scheme than the mailibu. Kind of odd in the description about the vin tag on the firewall as I see one on the firewall.
So I'm down 'south' for the weekend again, and searching the local CL ads and found this one in SE Iowa:
