For those that don't know Larry, he is the owner of Corvette Specialties, an NCC member/founder, and one of the nicest people I've met.
He's had heart issues, and it sounds like things are working out.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, he's one of NCC's finest!

Wish someone would've mentioned he was in the hospital sooner. I would've left a message for him on caringbridge.

Larry isn't accepting visitors at this point.. so leaving messages on Caringbridge is totally the right thing to do...

He's also one of the big reasons our show went off so well last year. That reminds me...... need to check up on that tomorrow.

update..
It's Molly, Larry's daughter again. Dad developed another clot in his LVAD and has been a guest at the hospital. They are giving meds to resolve it, but he may end up having the device changed if things don't improve. While he is there he has been moved to transplant status 1A - the top of the list.

Well, that stinks for Larry. When i talked to him at his farwell lunch, he didn't seem to want to go thru this again. We will wish him well.

Hate too see one of the good guys go through so many bad times. Just left Larry a message, hopefully hearing from all of us will keep the spirits up.

Just received an email that Larry has another clot and is back in the hospital. You can leave a message on his caring bridge site.
A heart was found that was a match for Larry.. He is in transplant surgery right now.

I just turned the computer on and got all these messages from caring bridge. Incredible to envision having your entire heart replaced. We're certainly hoping this turns out well with a long future ahead for Larry.

Just got an update that Larry HAS A NEW HEART and they are preparing to close him up. Simply incredible to think of this procedure. I hope this allows him to start a new phase of life without complications.

I was scheduled to take Larry to a rehab appointment today but he emailed me yesterday that he was going in the hospital last night. The results of his bloodwork from Tuesday indicated he had a blood infection. No idea how long it will take to clear that up, but I am communicating with one of his daughters, Amy, and will update when more is known.

Larry has been in the hospital for the past week fighting the infections Molly mentioned in the last update. He's had to be on IV antibiotics and he needs to continue these for six weeks. There has been much discusion between all his different doctors on how to go about this. They have been trying to figure out what would work as an outpatient, Dad certainly doesn't want to stay there that long, (nor do we want him to!). They were finally able to get a picc line in today so hopefully he can come home tomorrow and still get his IV antibiotics. He says he feels fine, just been a bit bored, which means he's been doing lots of walking around his unit. We should know more tomorrow about the doctors' plans- hopefully this includes him getting discharged!

I have an email in to Amy to see if he was released today. I was scheduled to take him to rehab tomorrow. I'm doubting that would happen even if he is home, but you never know with Larry.

Got an email from Larry this morning. He was released from the hospital yesterday and is still on for rehab today. I kinda thought he would go, if at all possible. I'll be picking him, up about 12:30.

I took Larry to his rehab yesterday. He looks good and says he feels good. The doc's are treating his infection from home and expect it to be completely gone but it will take time.
Larry is his usual positive self and is using the rehab time to get back to full strength. He is looking forward to next summer and getting to work on his Chevelle. He still has 3 Corvettes that he wants to sell over the next several months.
Anyone interested in sending an email can drop me a PM and I will forward that info. He likes communicating as a way of staying active and spending time while home.
