Gotta say, I have a soft spot for these big ole Chevelles. My buddy in high school had one that he did some playing with the 350 in it, and we used to bury the speedometer every weekend on the 2 lane highways!
When I was in college, I almost bought a '73 SS 454 4 speed silver and black one. Dad put the kibash on that one.

I like them too...but I'd take a slantnose Laguna over one. I might get one of those someday. I had a '73 LeMans that was a real joy to drive, and I've always liked the slantnose look.

I really like the early Laguna nose, even better than the later slantnose... I don't care much for the standard front though.

Trivia: 1973 is the only year the Chevelle SS was available in a station wagon. A few even came with the 454. Every once and a while, one comes up for sale.
I would imagine its pretty fun trying to convince people your 1973 SS454 wagon is actually the real thing.
Ive been taking a liking more and more to this body style after seeing them around in pretty nice shape. Im glad people are paying attention to these cars.
