This is the message my friend got (it was too rich for his blood) from the gentleman selling the Malibu:
Hi, here is the link to my webpage : http://www.joeson93.com/1971_Chevy_Chevelle_150398877.veh I have it listed at $16993 and would like to get $14993 I have several local people that are coming to look at it this week, if not sold locally or to someone that was watching it, I will relist next weekend and allow international bidders, as I had one from Germany and one from Japan that wanted to bid.
Thank you,
Joe Tomsen

I'm guessing $13K cash would take it?
Seems like odd pricing to me... what's up with ending it in '993'?
Hate seeing American collector cars going overseas. Even if it's just a plane jane malibu.

I figured he had it priced way too high for what it is. It doesn't fall into a "special interest" catagory to generate the kind of bidding frenzy to get what he wants. Yeah, it's an all original, low mileage car but in my humble opinion, 10k would be tops.

He should have spent a little money and fixed those few issues he has and then maybe it would have been worth that kind of money if he found the right person.

He will have it for a while at that price. Anything over 10K is going to be a tough sell. Overpriced by at least 6K but sometimes, people just have to find out the hard way by finding out just where the market is at before they realize it.
A good freind of mine wants me to go look at a 71 Chevelle in Wisconsin tomorrow and could use any input at all about what he should pay for it. The link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180876913944&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:MOTORS:1123
Any help you can give him would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
We were discussing this very car a few weeks ago.
