He's hinting the price will be at least 11k. I say good luck with that. I don't know if it's a Malibu. It has a rubber floor mat, not carpet. Did they still have the 300 series in '71 ?

Good point. It doesn't have the Malibu emblems on the lower front fenders. My '71 Malibu in high school only had a 307, but it had the Malibu emblems.
It also doesn't have the chrome wheel well trim, which is typical of a stripped down model.

Yep it's the base model, not a Malibu. Only the base models and Heavy Chevy's got those door panels.

Common now, its just an embelem delete car. Geeze you guys.
Looks like mice got into that headliner and put a nice hole in it as well. That is a pretty nice time capsule for what it is though. There are guys out there that would pay a nice chunk of change just for the door panels alone. I was think somewhere around the 8K range.

This one was up on Evilbay again and got to $9695 but the reserve wasn't met. I think that might be all it's worth.
True Grandma car, but pretty cool how untouched it is (even though it's green...
). Still has bias ply tires from 25 years ago on it!

With true driver quality muscle cars going for well under 20k, 10k for a plain jane is all they're gonna bring, unless it's something unusual.
I concur. These low option models are getting bid to about all they are worth. 10K is about tops of what I would ever pay as well.
And to think in the summer of 1980 when I was 17, I paid $1200 for a 'plain jane' 307 powered '71 Malibu with 70K miles on it!!!
I would have never thought back then it could be worth $10K!

I kind of liked the high prices... made it easier to resist buying more of them.
Even when prices were high, quite a few still managed to follow me home. If they get too affordable, my shop is going to fill up way too quickly.
