John are you one who likes to build and modify more than drive and enjoy? If so you could get a new canvas for your LS based tinkering ideas and sell the El Camino.

I never thought about the bed idea that’s workable. If you just install a slightly larger rear view mirror up front you could shave in the front seat as well.
