Also in and out of the CAC today-lower rear stance

I got a pair of springs from Derek about a year ago, finally got squared away enough to swap them in. Now my old wheel/tire combo won't fit. Here's some comparison pics.
original stance with 275/60R15 tire:
same but with new springs:
now with 15" rally and 235/60R15 drag radial:
original from 1/4 view:
new springs:
with rallys:
What you can see is the 2" drop in the rear which also brought the hood tip up about 1/2". The stance is really starting to grow on me now. Time to find a set of wheels I like that I can also afford since both the Torque-thrusts and the Vectors won't work for me (too little backspace for the tall taire I run.)

I have 275x60x15's on '77 Z28 wheels...15x7 and they have lots of room in the wheel well. The lower stance looks good...

Yea, just by looking at those AR wheels you have. There was no way the rears were not going to rub after dropping the rear down. It looks like you may have maybe 3-4 inches of backspace.
If you can find a set, and ive seen them for pretty reasonable on Ebay with free shipping. The S10 5 spoke wheels Stan had on his old white car looks great.
I did some research a while back on these wheels and it seems they are 2001 Chevy S10 ZQ8 option wheels.
Just noticed a set of Camaro wheels here for $100 that would get you by. Looks like they are off an Iroc or something of 80's generation. Sounds like the tires are good too.

Those wheels will fit our bolt pattern but you really need adaptor nuts to do it right. The taper is metric and standard nuts work loose. There are adaptor nuts available.

Yep, they came off a 2001 S10 'Extreme' model thanks to John Enga's suggestion!
I thought it really set off a pretty plain basic white Chevelle pretty well too. There's a guy at work that has a set on an S-10, but that's about the only set I've seen for a long time. Turns out it was his son that I bought the S-10 rims from. Small world.
Mitch is right on the nuts. I ended up changing out the studs on all the axles to get them to work with the black plastic nut covers.

Sorry, I didn't see this until now. I would consider selling them? They have a new set of Goodyear GT tires on them, have beauty rings and centercaps with bowtie logo, all excellent shape. I have been trying to decide if I want to hang on to them for a future project? I believe the Goodyear's are 235/70/15's though?

Well, I'm all set now:
I bought Mike/OscarZ's black rallys and center caps, picked them up today. I couldn't help myslf and quick put one on to see what it looked like. I owe him back the BFGs that are mounted, they were near new and I also have near new tires that I can use.

I like it, the black is actually a good contrast with the red and white.

I like it too. Got one tire swapped over today, ran out of time to balance, quick do that after work. One a day for the week should have me ready for the weekend.
Can't see pics here at work on this site anymore (...grrrr, some sort of blocker).
