Went to our favorite steak place in Nebraska tonight that has the best prime rib in the world! I have tried prime rib everywhere, but still haven't found anything better.
It's called Misty's and has been a mainstay since the early 60's. The original location still has the curved leather booths with low lighting for that 'mood' effect.
Lots of good memories there too as that's where Tina and I had our wedding reception in one of their party rooms.
I took the pic below to rub it in with my son who didn't make the trip and it's his favorite place, I'm not a nice Dad. The prime rib in the pic was fattier than usual, but still good stuff! They age their prime rib for a min. of 30 days before it's cooked.
We all have food babies now....

That's on my new list of places to go. Is there a car show we could do down there? How long is the drive?

Yep, on Memorial Day weekend they do the Hot Rod Nationals: HRN Link
It's 6 Hours down I35 and hang a right on I80 in Des Moines with a current vehicle (incl. 15 min. bio break in Des Moines), so figure 7+ with our cars.
Or 3 hour drive to Des Moines for the Good Guys show on the 4th of July and an overnight stay, then head to Lincoln and Misty's to be there for lunch the next day.

Weekend road trip kind of like the Rhinelander thing sounds cool to me. Maybe something like that in 2013 or 14.

I'm in, I love Lincoln and raw meat! Probably the best car museam I have been to is there, and I have seen quite a few.

When the club has another road trip planned, we used to go to the Boarder Bar coming back from Wild Mountain Skiing. They have one of the biggest and best burgers you have ever seen.
