I should be picking up my 70 Camaro this week from the shop. For those that don't know it was damaged after a mishap with a jack. So with it out of the shop I decided to do some upgrades and make the tools more convenient. In a few weeks I am putting in a TKO 500 so I wanted to be ready
I finally got my flat screen TV with HD satellite. I might as well just program it for Velocity and the Speed channel My wife's old Yahama stereo did the trick to add digital surround sound. Have the Sub woofer coming on Tuesday. So I will have full 5-channel speaker surround!! The A/C I put into the corner worked really well last year. I am going to hook and oscillating fan in front of it this summer to really push the cold air out.
I added in the surround sound speakers on the walls. I got a new hose real for my new air hose and added the old one on the ceiling. I am amazed how my little electric heater heats up my garage. I can get it to 65 degrees in 20 minutes or less. My garage is finished and very insulated. My father-in-law helped me hook it up to a thermostat.
I put the old hose real in the ceiling to make it more convenient and out of the way. I added a Snap On extension cord real also.
I reinforced my work bench and added the other surround sound speakers on the back wall.
One thing I had a big issue was with light. Especially in the front engine area of the car. So I added some new Home Depot overhead shop lights. Wow what a difference. Then I re-located the other 2-tubes I had further back to blend the light. I may replace the other two smaller ones with these larger ones. Well worth it.
One thing I hate about overhead lights is the pull string to light them up. So I hooked them up to a remote receptacle!! Now one button turns everything ON or Off. Hope to get a getting a junky laptop out there too for those craigslist searches! My wife thinks I am moving out there!
Lets see some picks of your winter projects!!

Very nice Tom, I especially like the Snap On drop cord; no more tripping over extension cords.
Will there be any waiting on the TKO once the order is placed or are they built up and ready for shipping?

Nice. You can never have enough lighting.
Also nice to hace a white board to write all your notes on.
