If you have a 2009 or newer Chevy Silverado, I hope you haven't experienced how weak and bad they are. If so, you probably have a good size repair bill.
Iam looking for a good strong aftermarket bumper like:
I can't find anything near by that wouldn't be as expensive to ship.
Looks like $675 plus about $200 shipping.
Anyone know of a product made closer to MN? Thanks,

Jim, those bumpers have been made out of tin foil for 15 years now. My '95 was thin and my 2000 is thinner.
Check with local truck accessory dealers for that or similar bumpers. I have one just up the road from where I work that I can check with too.
How much damage did you do to the truck ?

Does the maker of that bumper have any dealers up here? You can probably find a better deal online for that bumper shipped here then locally though. No tax either which will help because it looks like that bumper isnt cheap. Looks like a nice sturdy peice though. You might see if Hooze 4X4 in Ham Lake can help. Thats the only place that comes to mind for me.

Think it was around $3300 was the estimate for everything, can't remember exact amount. I only had the rear quarter panel fix. I took the bumper apart and had a friend weld up the tie bar as much as possible, pounded out the dent in the bumper and stuck it back together. I backed into a telephone in my driveway, going about 3 mph, hardly realized I had hit something, struck the outside of the bumper on the pass side. It went into the rear panel and crunched it up quite bad. Absolutely no damage to the telephone poll. Didn't even scar or dent the wood pole.
If nothing better to do and your going by the dealer, I would appreciate knowing what they have.

The off road boys have the stuff your looking for, diamond plate and gussets for tow straps and such. Check the local off road shops in town and mud truckers.

This the only other bumper that I found that appeared to be strong enough and look somewhat civilized.
Odd this was when I asked them for a quote, it came back signed by the same guy as the Buckstop Bumper and same phone number.
He must be a guy who has an Internet business and has contracted with two different individual shops to market their bumper. Both bumpers are available with/without rear backup lights.
