Feels like it's 30 years ago and I'm back in high school looking at those!
Every 'cool' kid either had those or Cragar SS rims. There was a black late 70's Chevy pickup with a 454 that had a set of Keystone's, and that thing was cool lookin' for a truck!
Not a bad price if they aren't too bad of condition.

I desire to get new tires for my Chevelle. The date code on my current tires is so old, there isn't a date code. I have a set of Cragar S/S's still in the boxes that I was kicking the idea around of putting new tires on. This might be a easier option.

Some people think the Cragar's look 'dated', but IMO they are always cool!

I'm not quite to that extreme yet, but I don't like them either. I've been looking for a while and I kinda have an attraction to these now:
Those look good Bryan. They are a lot like the American Racing 'Hopster' rim, but less expensive. I put a set of Hopsters on the blue w/black vinyl top '72 Chevelle I had, and they looked great IMO.
So, if I had the extra cash I'd be attempted to buy those Keystone's and wear them proudly at the first opportunity just to make you guys love me even more! Although... I might have to put on some air shocks just to get the a## high enough to get 'em to fit! Derek, it's better gas mileage when you're going down hill all the time!

The Cragar versus Keystone debate is very similar to a '66 versus '67 Chevelle. Most people only like one and all y'all know what year I have...
And those WHITE letters would need to be INSTANTLY reversed and painted over....

Stan, once I get the wheel/spring thing figured out on mine, I'll have some springs that will be available instead of doing the whole air shocks thing.....
I remembered having Klassics on my Grand Prix when I first got it. They looked better kinda rusty and dirty. Back then, the kewl 4x4 wheel to have was the spun swirly stly with the painted scallops in it. Hated those too.

Mitch, to be honest, I don't know the differences between 66 & 67's other than the front end?...
And don't be a white letter hater. There are some of us that think they look cool with the right set of rims/car!
Some white letters are OK, especially the outlined letters but those huge white block letters on the Keystones are too gaudy for me. My real dislike of the letters is when they are turning. Watch some while on the road and they turn into blotchy whitewalls that look like they were scrubbed on a curb.

I always thought the Keystone Klassics where cheap looking back in the day. I was always partial to the Cragar S/S's. Torq Thurst D's takes the top prize for the retro look for me nowdays. I am still yet to fully embrace the 17 in plus size rims.

We're on the same page, Rob. Unfortunately, tires smaller than 17" are getting more scarce by the year. 17's on our cars are OK with the right tire. I still need to see some sidewall to know there is a tire on them and not a rubber band...
I've been looking at the gray cast version of the Torque Thrusts for some time now. Just can't get past the cost of new wheels.

Even good 17s are getting scarce... I might have to move up to 18s just to stay on the top autocross street tires.

Well hopefully 17 inch tires do not become the next 15 inch tire. I think right now, the only real thing keeping 15 inch tires in production is the aftermarket and classic car industry. I dont know of any car made today that comes stock with 15 inch tires anymore.

A lot of little compacts come with 15s, but they're too short and narrow for use on a musclecar.
The biggest "high performance" street tire available now in 15" is a 225/50...
