Hey Powercruiser’s
The Powercruise website has just been updated with the latest info including the Powercruise USA#2 Poster and Flyers for download as well as the downloadable printable Powercruise Entry Form. The online form with credit card payment setup will be just a few more days away but in the meantime all the info and links are there for you to share.
We have plenty of payment options but if you prefer you can still download and print the form, complete it, scan it and send it back to us in an e-mail with your credit card details.
The website is at www.powercruise.com so right after you finish freezing over there get the cars sorted cause its gunna be a big one.
And a big thanks goes out to everyone who came to Powercruise last year. Your kind words of support, suggestions and offers to help spread the word were all taken on board as you will see in the changes and were much appreciated so I hope by bringing Powercruise back to BIR in 2012 you accept this as my personal thanks and may the horsepower gods be with you…but not enough so you can get round ME

Hey Gup,
This looks interesting. Just curious how you came about finding our club site?
I'm also interested if any of our members have heard of this event and any comments? Post up.

Gup, thanks for the reply.
I think sometime on our forum someone posted about you power hungry Aussies tearin' it up somewhere in the good ole' USA. Car folks are the same all across the globe... never enough power and we like to make noise!
Most of our members are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area, but we have some in Iowa and the surrounding area. So, from the Minneapolis metro, Brainerd is anywhere from 2-3 hour drive for us. Not too bad, and any excuse to drive our cars is welcome.
I'm sure other NCC members may be interested in this. It looks like our club will have a cruise run up to Brainerd later in the summer, so your event might be a fun thing to do.
Other members will probably chime in.
Thanks for reaching out to us!

Glad to see you guys arent doing this during the Car Craft show in St. Paul this year. You just shoot yourself in the foot planning what looks like a cool performance even during the same weekend as one of the best shows not only in the midwest. One of the best in the country. No point in competing against that on the same weekend.
With it a different weekend now. You have a much bigger chance of getting a lot more cars and a lot more attendees now. Which also opens the door for all of us that want to check out your great looking show and it doesnt conflict with anything anymore.

That was my beef last year with the Power Cruise booking on the same weekend. BIR is about the same distance as State Fair grounds so I can do both this year.

I've got it booked into my calendar - and submitted for time off from work. Won't be staying at the track, I'll be 25 minutes north with indoor plumbing, satellite, and the ski-boat.

I'm sure something could be arranged! ...
There's 100' linear feet of dock, the gazebo, and a ton of yard for pitching tents... and always cold beer in the cooler! I'm already thinking of how nice a dip in the lake will be after 10+ hours on asphalt in July Minnesota, then an evening "toddy" cruise on the water!
I'll extend the invite to other NCC'rs that are attending - you're welcome to "camp-out" at my place (as space permits)... I've got room for about ten cars to park, and as many tents. Just contribute some "grill-ables", charcoal, and beverages to the cause and we're square.
Did you register with your car or just as a spectator? I am thinking this would be a lot of fun.

I'm registered as a participant - planning on spending the weekend committing "tire abuse". My lake cabin is only 25 or so minutes away, so I can't pass this one up! (I even signed on for 1 night of camping - just in case there's "too much fun" one evening - "El Camino, have bed will travel" )

I sent in my registration today, not sure that I plan on smoking any tires, but be there to watch at least.
Got an email today detailing my entrant "credentials" and specifics for the event...
How Cool Is This!!
A #1 entry sticker to a major event!
("Gup"... offer is still open for a "decompression session" about 35 minutes north at my place... but looking at the schedule there's STUFF going on nearly all-hours!)

Blackie's all checked out, and ready for the "run up Nort"...
I'll be heading out tomorrow early afternoon, spend the night at Saratoga North, then do the "Dawn Patrol" thing at BIR Friday am to get credentials and go through Tech.
No, I won't be participating in the powerskid/burnout contest (as much as I'd like to get rid of these Blizzaks), and I learned my lesson about drag racing... but I WILL be taking a few cool/warm/HOT laps around the circuit over the weekend!
NCC will be duly represented via a pop-up & banner, and I'll have membership apps available.
