There is no World of Wheels in MN this year and possibly anymore for a while. The promoters are aging and after losing money on the event here the past few years, they decided to skip MN.
There is another show that is a benefit in Sioux Falls SD about the same time. A few of the Camaro Club members are taking their cars to this instead. If the weather is good, I may make a 1 day run over there to see it. It may be possible to car pool with a couple others as well.
I feel GSTA is a better deal anyway. W.o.W. fell below my expectations and the 'indoor show circuit' ain't what it used to be...
...or maybe it is and I'm just too old to think any of the craptastic slow trailer queen cars or displays are worth my $25 entry fee.
I used to think I just got spoiled on the West Coast with all their huge shows and top-quality cars, but I really do love GSTA and there are always some first-class rides there. That, and it happens just as the snow is melting and I start chomping at the bit to drive really fast in the car I built to drive really fast. I love feeling that desire well up inside of me as I check out the cool cars I haven't seen before at GSTA every year.
So, I hate to say it, but I think I'll pass on the Sioux Falls trip for now Mitch...although I'll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing some pictures when you get back!
