It's still in process--meaning I got all my crap in there, but most things not even on to shelves or anything. I'll probably rearrange it again at least once, but I have the cool problem of too much storage vs not enough. I have one of those 4' white "laundry room" cabinets, a 3' metal one, a file cabinet, and 6 chrome wire racks plus my tool box and a big work bench.
I'll probably keep the car on the nicer side and use the front garage area for messier work ie: cutting lumber, grinding, etc.

It has 3 6-foot long baseboard heaters on the checkerboard window side, 8' flourescent lamps plus bulbs, 10' door at either end, and a large (not Big Ass) fan. It measures @ 25x30 and has a regular small service door up front and out back. 9' ceilings too.

Me too. I like how I can close the overhead door between or open it up to drive all the way into the back yard. I'm thinking I will be making a new workbench and putting that under the window at the back door so there's more wall space opened up. I think I'll also keep the compressor up front and run hard line into the back garage.
I really don't want to put holes in the walls if I can help it. There's a good sized shelf storage unit in front that's the perfect size for the ream of paper boxes and it will fit about 30 of those. Has sliding doors in front of it too to help keep dust out.
plus I have cable TV, a DVD player, freezer and mini fridge, and microwave out there. If I added a folding cot.......

Tunes and DVD player isn't hooked up yet, but wires are ready, just need to take a minute. I was watching TV when doing the other stuff.
This weekend I will get more done.
I do plan on having everyone over, just can't decide if it should be winter when we don't worry about the cars, or summer when I have to notify the neighbors.......

Looks great, you will really like that baseboard heat, are they wired for 220V. Do they have independent thermostats? If not look into installing them; keep the fan on when the heats on. Are those windows behind the checkerboard? If so what direction do they face?
Now train the wife to knock first before she enters. You are going to enjoy it.

The heaters have thier own little sub panel which I'm sure is 220. There's also a 220 on the front side of the garage by where the compressor is in the pic. Another 220 is on the wall over where the workbench is right now. They also separated from the home circuit and on some sort of a deal where you could run them all winter @50 degrees and cost only @ $30/month. I forgot what the seller called it.
Yeah, windows behind the checker curtains. The curtains are double thickness and I ahve them pinned to the wall to hold them from being billowed out by the heaters. Even at the lowest heater setting which is off the thermostat, they still move some air. All 3 heaters are on one stat which is on the opposite wall. Windows are on the south side of the house too. garage faces West so out the back is East. The flourescent lights are on separate switch from regular bulbs. Oh yeah, that fan works very well too.

South facing windows are a real plus in the winter, lots of warmth from that low mid-day sun; my garage heat shuts off on a sunny day even with temperature in the teens. Your baseboard heaters look like mine; I have mine wired so that each one of the three have its own stat, and here’s why.
Each one of my units put out 6500 BTUs; let’s say I want it to be 70 degrees in the garage. I set one unit at 70* one at 68* and one at 66* as the garage warms up the first unit turns off at 66* the second turns off at 68*. Once warmed up one unit will keep it warm, if the door is open for some time and it cools off the other will kick on to quickly recover the heat.
Nine foot ceiling are great go high with your storage, get everything off the floor, if it must be on the floor put it on wheels. Gosh, I love spending your money.

Stopped by Bryan's for a tour earlier and it is a nice space. Already looks good in just a short time. I wish I had a separate space for my toys like he has.
