Suppose you have heard by now what's happening a couple of 100 feet away.

Helicopters still overhead. Let hope the officer recovers. He has a wife and 3 kids, the oldest is 10. Schools still on lockdown. Just heard, unconfirmed, that they have recovered the body of the suspect.

I heard when it first happened. My old partners are working it. These are the days I miss the least. I think I'll go out and work on he car some.

Last I heard, the officer was still alive. Two bullet wounds to the head. Not good. Bad deal all the way around. SSTP, WCCO, and Fox all down.

I hadn't heard either. Thanks for the info. Glad to hear you're OK being so close to it.

As soon as I saw the original post, I went to the TV and it was on the 6:00 news already. No details of the officers condition had been released as of that time.

I heard about it on the radio on my way home from work. When I heard Lake City Jim came to mind right away. Stories like these seem to be even worse when they hit close to home.
