Hope everyone made it home safe today. The roads really were very slick. I told my wife it looked like we had twice as much as Mounds View and I was proven right by the weatherman. There was a narrow band that passed thru and dumped much more snow on parts of the southwest metro on a line to Stillwater.

I made it home fine. Not as much snow down here. I would say about a half inch. Roads were very icey though. My car started sliding sideways just sitting at the stoplight in Faribault.

Steve S got me home but it was horrible al the way to Pine Island. 2 wheel drive PU. We seen lots of cars/SUVs in the ditch along HWY 52. It took us awhile doing about 40-50MPH and I was glad I was not driving. Thanks Steve S. I hope Steve made it ok he had another 40-50 miles to go to home.
It was a good meeting JJ had fun polishing the 71 Vette and other shinny parts in the store : )

Mitch is right. We had alot of snow coverage in Hudson. I have 360lbs of weight in the box of my 2wd Ranger. I think I am going to add some more. It was very greasy out there. Made home safe.

Mine was OK. Listened to the police scanner on my phone on the way to my daughter's basketball game. approx 3 hour wait for tow. Heard one call stating car was stuck between 2 trees and rescue was to bring a chainsaw.

Not too bad of a drive at 40 -50 mph. Passed by a Blazer on an overpass with all four cornerss caved in and facing the wrong direction. Found out the need for keeping tabs on the washer fluid level!

I rode with Craig back to his place from the meeting to pick up a vehicle then drove back across the cities and it was quite an intresting drive. But made it fine both directions.

Still haven't heard from the Jeep contingents. Are they still working on the El Camaino ??

I made it, but it was slick, I should have my sand bags bought, with these 50 degree days I've been in denial. It changed to mainly rain after I got to Rochester. Still took 3 hours to get home.

Jeep guy reporting in; we made it home safely but I was surprised by the poor road conditions. The farther south we got the worst the roads became, it must have started out as freezing rain then transitioned to snow, because there was lots of ice under the snow. Lots of folks relearning how to drive in snow again, winter driving 101.
Tom and Stan helped me remove the Elky hood so the engine is ready to come out when we return from Ohio after Thanksgiving.

It was slick to SLP, and there was one guy in a little Blazer that did the "pinball" manouver on the Hwy 100 S flyover from 694. (I don't think there was a straight panel on the thing!). The next few weeks will be a learning curve... again.

Glad everyone replying so far made it OK. Yeah, I was not impressed with the road conditions either. I never did see any salt/sand trucks out and I drove on ice all the way home. I don't care for the fuel mileage my pick up gets in 4 Hi, but why have it if I don't use it ?? With the plow mount in the front and bedliner and topper in back, it weighs 5800# and is very sure-footed and stable, even at 60 on slippery surfaces and I found myself getting impatient with vehicles who had a hard time moving. I had to back off and remember they are probably doing the best they can and I need to give them the space they deserve.

John and I must have encountered the same Blazer on the hwy 100 and 694. The pinball maneuver was exactly what it looked like as John described.

We also saw that same Blazer but were heading up 694 instead of 100 so technically, we went under it.

I thought Chris was going to get out and walk due to my "Exibition Driving" or "Drifting" as it were.

Never. Might as well have some fun.
I ended up forgetting my door prize after the meeting too. Oh well.
