Happy to have it done, but really dissappointing to see how much money was lost on it... fortunately, we should be able to make that up on whatever we buy.
We'll be temporarily moving to Waltham in the house my brother has been trying to sell... small old house, but it has a very nice workshop. He just moved a couple weeks ago to my parents place, and my parents moved to town (been doing a lot of moving lately!)
Going to look at a place by Claremont on Wed... same distance to Rochester, but really close to Owatonna, and almost an hour closer to the cities. The place by the kart track is still a strong possibility too, just don't want to rush into things, and I want to be sure my opinion of the place isn't being skewed by my desire to go racing.

That's great Derek!
Now you will be in the driver's seat when buying the next home! Get it... 'drivers seat'. I crack myself up...

Wow, that isn't much time to finish the Chevelle so you don't have to rent a whole moving van just for all the parts...
As said, congrats on the sale and i don't see where wanting the place by the kart track is messing with your judgement. I probably would've bought it before I sold my current home...
If I had to move by the end of Nov, I'd have to rent a 5 place car trailer AND a van just to clean out my shop...

My brother's house that we'll move into has a 3 car unheated garage and a 2 car heated shop, and I can start moving stuff right away. Lots of room for storage, and room to work on the Chevelle.

Congrats! The up side to a temporary house is you get to pre-sort all your stuff before the final move into your new house.

In today’s market that’s great news. What’s the move date?

Closing Nov. 30th, and we'll probably start moving the stuff we don't "need" to my brother's garage right away, then move the furniture and necessities the weekend before.

I would be willing to help if I've recovered enough from surgery on the 8th, but the weekend before the 30th is Thanksgiving and I'll be out of town for 4 days.
