I was just thinking about next years calendar and what cars that havent been in one yet.
Stan S- Blue 72SS
Chad- Orange 72SS.
Derek K- 1966 Wagon.
Jamie M- 1985 El Camino.
Darren A- Silver 1972 4 door.
Loren- Red/black 1969 SS convertible.
Beyond this, I cant remember who was in it and who wasnt. I can only find my 2009 and 2011 calendars. I dont know what I did with 2010.
Currenly. There are some nice photos already been taken floating around of Dereks wagon and the ones Shawna took of Chads and Stans car. So there is a good start.

There's only 12 months... do we want 1/4 of the calender with 71/72's?

Im not going to say its acceptable. Its not my call. We can still run Dereks Wagon cant we? No, im not offering to put his car in there without any sort of permission. Perhaps Derek can get permission from the new owner. However, Derek did say it was ok during his ownership so I dont know if that counts or even if the offer still stands. We have ran cars before that have been sold. At least 4 of the cars in the 09 calendar were long since sold before then. I think we ran more then a quarter of the calendar of last year with 71 and 72's. Not much you can do when 90% of the club owns 71/72 cars. If these are issues then im out of ideas. Like last year, it was very tough to get cars for the calendar and this year is slim pickens. We barely have half the cars we need already so finding the other 6 may not be an easy task. It certainly wasnt last year. We got to about 9 or 10 and me and Bryanreally had to stretch to find the last few cars as we did the majorty of the photographing.
With 60+ members there has to be a whole bunch of cars out there. Mine was in 2010 so kinda soon to put it in again. Volunteers?

We could talk to the new member with the 70 that just joined. The one thats similiar to Terry Didions car. We could also perhaps talk to the new member that just joined with the red 73 that was at the meeting at Anoka with us too.
Your right Jon. Last year, Terry passed phone contact info to me of Dave L with the orange 70SS last year. I never met him before and never seen the car before. I would have never known he was a member if Terry had not passed me his contact info. That was a good drive that afternoon to his place to shoot that car. The only thing that made it more convienent was that I shot Kevins El Camino that same day which is why the photos from that day look like they are late in the afternoon. This year, were going to have to get in touch with members we may not have met or arent as familiar with and see if they are intrested. We have almost got shots from all the regular members.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. Gets some of the more quiet members involved and I would think they would be thrilled at the opportunity.

What about the yellow one that was at anoka but had to leave early?

I think it would be cool to capture a Chevelle or El Camino in a some state of restoration.
Think of a classic garage photo with the engine hanging from a chain over a fender with the hood and toolbox in the background. How about a body shop picture with other Chevelles or El Caminos in the background with lots of dust on the cars.
Carl do you have any pictures of your Elky on the rotisserie?
So who's got some cars apart pictures that are calendar quality.

Here's a link to my webshots account. There are over 300 pics in there of my work over last winter.
Dereks would be cool either in a performance shot autocrossing or in the process of getting its new LS.
That red slantnose Elky is awesome.
Steve's silver drag car is a lock- a launch shot or burnout shot from the track would be cool.
I've got a slew of road course pics of the wagon, too.
Some good 'cars in motion' pics would be neat to mix in with the static shots- especially if they're club members on the track.
