I spoke to them, gears and unit are made by YUKON GEAR I can get any gear 3.42, 3.55. 3.73 interested in updating the 67 Impala rear it is an open rear maybe 2.xx or real low 3.xx gears. Please share your thoughts words of wisdom
With Eaton posi carriers selling elsewhere for that price alone, it seems too good to be true. If it really is all brand name parts, it's a steal.

Wow, intresting. Not a bad deal. It says Eaton style. Not the actual Eaton brand. So it might be possible its cheap because there might be chinese knock off parts.

BRAND NEW GM 12-Bolt Car Eaton-Style Posi Unit (30 Spline)
You're probably right, Chris. Guess I didn't catch the "style" wording in the description. Must be a knockoff for the price. I can't find a REAL Eaton posi for much less than that by itself...

The posi unit is MADE BY YUKON GEAR as well as the gears. It is a Yukon Dura Grip Positraction unit. Read first post this is why I was asking. I think Yukon is good stuff Not 100% sure.
Eaton's Posi are now made in Mexico ??

No way to know from their website where the parts are actually made but they do seem to have a good warrenty. Maybe ask Tom or Bighead Todd on Team Chevelle about them. If they are comparable to an Eaton, I would buy it.

If you find this is a good deal, I may buy one too for my '70 Chevelle. It has a 12 bolt 3.08 open. Maybe we could get a "group purchase" price...

I dont know if I would go Eaton only persay. Yukon is a familiar name too. I just dont care for potentially unknown mechanical parts really. The gears are fine its the posi unit that might be an issue. It would likely be fine but you never know these days. Eaton is the original manufacture of the GM rear end parts so I figure why not go with what GM used or still uses. But I have no problem with using other good quality parts like Yukon gear sets, my understanding is they are actually better then Richmond but I have no personal expierence. I have read that Richmonds like to whine no matter how well you have your rearend setup.

I would just post the same question over there so you get more opinions. Plus, everyone else learns from it as well.
If it were me, I would just go for the actual known Eaton unit. Even if it didnt come with the rest of the parts.
