I have a small amount of logs that I need to split for bonfires, and am too cheap to rent one from the local rental place for $55 for 4 hours for probably 30 min. of splitting.
Does anyone have one they would rent to me for a 12 pack?
The logs are 6-8" in dia. or less.
Looking for one near Bloomington or south metro.
Thanks.

I wait until they're dry and use the "wedge and sledge" method. I just came in from using my heavy hatchet hacking 3-4" ones down to manageable lengths since my burn pile was taking over a good chunk of the yard.
