Not sure if I will make it; but would join in Red Wing. Just a side note, when I go from Hastings to Red Wing, I always go the back way out of Hasting towards the casino then back to hwy 61 and Red Wing. Less traffic, just as good road, avoid most of the bump-bumps on 61; but a little longer.

The Camaro Club cruise is the same day. Since I did most of this on the trial run, I'm gonna pass and go on the Camaro cruise. I will be driving the Chevelle though, since the Camaro still doesn't have heat....

Grrr...8 friends coming to visit from out of town. Bounced this plan off them...this cruise or MOA? Guess which one they picked. Something about riding in a car for several hours after just riding in a car for several hours to get here. What's wrong with people anymore? I guess I'll be at the stupid mall.

MOA is only about 30 min. from Hastings for some free car viewing in the late afternoon/evening. You should drag them there kicking and screaming!

Right after you get there, tell them you need to find a restroom and that they should feel free to wander and look at the WHOLE place. You could be gone for 6 hours and they'd never miss you.

This is me and Michele's anniversary and it will be nice to cruise for the day. Its always cool to go on these cruises and see things I either havent seen or only see once a year or at least every other year.
Ill also mention again that this is a good opportunity to get some shots of cars for next years calendar. So perhaps we could find a place to stop along the route and position cars and get a bunch of us w/cameras to shoot cars. So those with cameras, bring them.

Rob, funny you should mention the car show in River Falls. When I worked out the details with the waitress for lunch in River Falls, she said something about a 'car show' that I didn't understand. Kind of like she assumed I knew something about it... This makes sense now. Thanks for finding the ad! By the way... so that you know, I'm going to be crawling all over your survivor '72/402 so that I can see what I need to do to mine!
So... if we leave Hastings at 10:30 a.m. as planned, we will be in River Falls by 11:30 a.m. and could cruise right into the show and park on Main St. where we had planned on going anyway!
Then we can hang out there for a couple of hours then cruise to Red Wing and into Hastings. Sounds like a great day of classic cars!
Here's the new headcount:
'72 El Camino Kevin and Angie
'65 El Camino John D. and Sheryl
'69 Chevelle Jon H. and Bonnie
Chris R.-2 ppl
'72Chevelle Craig S. and family?
'72 Chevelle Steve S.
'72 Chevelle Rob and son
'72 Chevelle Chad and Shawna
'72 Chevelle Stan and Tina
TOTAL 8 VEHICLES AND 17 PEOPLE SO FAR
And if Loren and Lisa make it, that's 9 Chevelle's and 19 people!!!

Jim, we do end up in Red Wing on our way back to Hastings. We should be arriving there around 1-1:30 p.m. and will be stopping at Soldiers Memorial Park for a scenic overlook stop. You could meet us there.
You can PM me your cell number if you want me to call you when we get close and then you can cruise to Hastings together. You can lead the caravan if you have a good 2 lane way to Hastings.
Basically, we start in Hastings, go across to the WI side then north, then come back south to River Falls for lunch, then go to Red Wing, then back north on the MN side to end up in Hastings.
