I know others from the club did this one last year and said it was a blast.
I might be leaving for Asia that weekend, but if not we'll try to make it.

I try to make it every year. It's really fun and fun for the kids too. They don't have a club forum anymore, but I can tell you that there will be a lowrider contest, pipe rapping, and flame throwing. Search for pics from last year under events or go to the last November newsletter for a recap.

Now that things are settling down a bit for me I get to do some other cool car stuff. I am planning on this one ... unless grandbaby #4 makes an appearance that weekend.

My trip to Asia got pushed out a week, so looks like I might make it to this!

Looks like Chad/Shawna, Gearlube, me/Tina, and maybe Dashboard and Pushrod and family are going to make the Frankensteiner's show!
After that, it's change the oil in the Chevelle, put Stabil in the tank, and start thinking of the winter projects I'm going to do to it...

Didn't we just finish our winter projects and start driving our cars a few weeks ago....

Some in the club resemble that remark!

Sounds like Chris P will be riding down with another Chad who has the Chevelle Chris brought to Anoka (and also has the '55 that blew the rear). Anyone want to meet up a little early and roll in as a club? Parking will be tight and scattered-they park you as you come in. I was thinking Main Motors front parking lot at 7:30???

The southern bunch is meeting up at Cub in Savage, but not until 8 a.m. So, we should get to the Anoka fairgrounds around 8:30 or so. I don't think they open the gates until 9 a.m.

Tina and I had a great time too! Nice cruise in the crisp air this morning, then it was cool seeing all the Halloween themes at the show, and spending some time with everyone.
Sorry we bailed out after lunch, but I had run a fever last night and didn't want to over do it. We all wanted to stay for the flamethrower contest, but didn't stick it out for that. I did get some recliner time when we got home. Must have been all that fresh air! Lol
Met a potential member with a Mulsanne blue, '72, documented SS, 4 speed, originally a 402 car that looks almost exactly like mine! Nice guy, and I enjoyed talking Chevelles with him. Hope to see him on the forum or joining the club soon.
Hate to say it... but this was probably the last outing for the Chevelle this year. It's time to clean it up, change the oil, and the tank got filled with non-oxy on the way home. The season's are a changin'...

I had fun too, took a bunch of pics, but had issues loading them. I was also sick, so I didn't want to spread it around too much. Flame-throwing was better this year, but pics from the stands sucked due to the fence/railing in the way-even from the top row and on the top seat. Still cool, but they needed to be back farther for better pics. Muffler rapping was a waste.

This was the first time I have made it to this show since it moved to the Anoka fairgrounds. Very impressed with the amount of cars there. It is unfortunate that they have it on the same day as the roadsters swap meet. Thats always been one of the better swaps.

Forgot to add that someone said the 'vehicle' entry count was over 1000 vehicles.

Last count I heard was 1126. People in costume, kids trick or treating, decent food and music, very well run show.
