I hear ya. I lived that way for a year, then about halfway through year #2, I bailed out and moved into a house right across from Campus in St Peter. 5 rooms for 8 people and rent was only $525 for everyone and we could raise that in 2 nights. I wish I had a picture of the working beer tap hanging on the wall in the basement. No exposed tubing, just beer form a cement block wall. We amazed many people with that simple trick.

My son gets guitar lessons from a student by St Clound State College, that is 8 guys in a house. Judging from the area it is fairly sedate but looks as thought it can get a little wild at times. Still his instructor is a good kid and the guys in the house are respectful of others from what I have seen. Just waiting for Homecoming week when it gets nuts in that town and the kids party.
