We're really close to being able to pay off our house... selling this and dumping all of our savings onto the mortgage would make us debt-free by winter.

Sounds like a plan.
It it will give a great piece of mind for relief not having that monthly payment hanging over your head. Plus then you can real start saving up / investing.

Might as well use the "savings" account to get rid of a mortgage. In this economy it isn't earning enough to bother with...

SOLD!!! Going to Wisconsin.
Now we're only about $2000 short of paying off the house... Debt free in a month (unless we buy another house of course...)

It kind of breaks my heart to see it go but its well worth sending down the road in order to be debt free.
